Three changes to Cork team as Coleman in for Donal Óg04/05/2012 - 09:09:38
Ballinhassig's Martin Coleman has won the battle to replace the injured Dónal Óg Cusack in the Cork team for Sunday's Allianz Hurling League final against Kilkenny.
Anthony Nash was introduced in goal during the first half of the Rebels' semi-final win over Tipperary, after captain and regular net minder Cusack suffered a season-ending Achilles tendon injury.
But despite a solid display from Nash, Cork manager Jimmy Barry-Murphy has given the nod to Coleman for the Semple Stadium decider (throw-in 4pm).
Brian Murphy returns from injury at left corner back, with Conor O'Sullivan the player to make way. Prodigious talent Conor Lehane also comes back into the side at the expense of Jamie Coughlan.
In Cusack's absence, corner forward and league top scorer Pat Horgan (0-43) will lead Cork as they bid to lift the league title for the first time since 1998.
It is Cork's first appearance in the Division 1 decider since 2010, while Barry-Murphy was their manager when they were last crowned league champions 14 years ago.
A victory for Barry-Murphy's charges on Sunday would see dual player Eoin Cadogan picking up his second league winners' medal in the space of a week. He helped the Cork footballers retain their Division 1 crown against Mayo last weekend.
