Warm weather set to continue for the week

Met Éireann has said today that the recent warm weather will last at least until the end of this week.

Yesterday, parts of the country were warmer then Mediterranean countries like Greece or Tenerife - with temperatures reaching almost 21°C.

Today will be mostly sunny also, with top temperatures 16-19°C.

The highest temperatures will be in the west and north-west of the country.

Coastal fringes of the south and east coasts will be slightly cooler, due to mist and on-shore breezes.

Tomorrow will see a similar dry day, warm and mostly sunny, with highest temperatures of 19°C.

Wednesday and Thursday will be dry, bright and warm also, with top afternoon temperatures in the mid to high teens.
