Under the Ethics in Public Office Act, TDs are required to declare any property or financial interests they have outside of politics.

The latest register of members interests published today revealed that Mr Ahern was on a conflict resolution council with the world economic forum in Switzerland.

In Washington, he was a speaker with the world lecture agency, and the UK he was a sports columnist with the News of the World.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny is a member of three golf clubs, the K club, Mount Juliet and Ballinrobe.

Former Taoiseach Brian Cowen declared an income as a partner in a solicitors firm in Tullamore, and registered three properties, one in England and two in Dublin.

The report has also revealed that Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore is the joint owner of a house

and 37 acres of land in Caltra, Co Galway, his former family home.
