Nine teenagers have been charged in connection with the suicide of a 15-year-old Irish girl who died after enduring months of bullying at a US High School.

Nine teenagers have been charged in connection with the suicide of a 15-year-old Irish girl who died after enduring months of bullying at a US High School.

Phoebe Prince from Fanore in Co Clare died in January. She started as a new student at South Hadley High School in Massachusetts the previous year.

The local district attorney says she took her own life on January 14 after a torturous day, during which she was subjected to verbal harassment and threatened with physical abuse.

Her alleged tormenters face charges ranging from stalking to statutory rape.
