Cowen signals no change to old age pension
19/11/2009 - 09:35:38The Taoiseach has signalled that the Government will not cut the old age pension in next month's Budget.
In a webcast last night Brian Cowen said, in bringing about €4bn in savings in the Budget, the Government is "very sensitive" to the needs of the countrys pensioners.
He said he does not want them to be adversly affected by government decisions.
