Colum McCann wins US fiction prize
19/11/2009 - 09:37:46The Arts Minister has extended his congratulations to Irish author Colum McCann who has won the Fiction Prize in the USA's National Book Awards.
The Dublin-born writer received the award for his work 'Let the Great World Spin'.
Minister Martin Cullen says the individual creative success of Irish writers like Colum McCann continues to make an enormous contribution to cultural life both at home and abroad.
