Marks & Spencer appoint new boss
18/11/2009 - 11:45:32British retail giant Marks & Spencer named Morrisons boss Marc Bolland as its new chief executive today.
The 50-year-old succeeds executive chairman Stuart Rose, who will continue at the firm as part-time chairman.
Mr Bolland joined Morrisons in September 2006 as chief executive and has been credited with reviving the fortunes of the Bradford-based supermarket chain.
He will take up his position in the New Year at a time and on terms to be confirmed.
