EU approves Lloyds plan to sell part of bank
Plans by the UK's Lloyds Banking Group to sell of parts of the bank have been approved by the EU.
Earlier this month Lloyds announced proposals to dispose of at least 600 branches.
It comes after competition concerns from Europe.
The bank's also raising £21bn to strengthen its finances which will stop the British taxpayers' stake going beyond the current 43%.
