Trade unions threaten further strikes
14/11/2009 - 13:00:27Trade unions are today threatening further strikes if the Government does not listen to workers in the public sector.
This comes ahead of the nationwide strike on November 24 - which will include teachers, nurses and other public servants - angry at the threat of further cuts to pay and services.
Sally-Ann Kinihan, assistant secretary general of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, says large sections of the public will support the action.
