Punchestown call morning inspection
13/11/2009 - 11:36:15Punchestown have called a precautionary inspection at 8am ahead of Saturday’s meeting.
Officials at the County Kildare venue are taking no chances in light of a troubling forecast.
Irish Turf Club press officer Cliff Noone said: “The track is raceable – the ground is heavy – but there is an adverse forecast for later today and overnight.
“They’ve decided to be safe rather than sorry.”
Punchestown are also scheduled to be in action on Sunday.
