Raiders hold up bank branch in Co Tipperary

Gardaí are searching for two armed raiders following a bank robbery in Co Tipperary this morning.

The raiders, who were dressed as workmen, entered the AIB outlet in Clogheen at around 10.30am armed with what appeared to be a machete and a baton.

They locked two female staff members in a vault before making off with an undisclosed sum of cash.

Gardaí later freed the two staff members, who were not injured in the raid.
