Cork and Tipperary announce replay teams

30/06/2009 - 11:14:36
Both Cork and Tipperary managements have announced their sides ahead of tomorrow's Munster Minor Hurling Championship semi-final replay at Semple Stadium, Thurles.

The sides produced a thrilling 5-17 a-piece draw after extra-time at Pairc Ui Chaoimh last week, while the corresponding under-21 teams also needed extra time in their Munster U21 Hurling quarter-final meeting a few weeks ago, before Tipperary emerged victorious.

Tipperary manager Mark O'Leary has made two changes to his side from last Wednesday's game one in defence and the other in attack.

Loughmore-Castleiney's John Meagher replaces Pa Ryan at corner back while Padraig Heffernan of Clonoulty Rossmore comes in at centre-half-forward in place in Thomas Butler.

Meanwhile, Cork manager Ger Manley has opted to stick with the same team which started the drawn encounter.

Carrigaline's David Drake, who bagged 0-07 last day out, including a point which ensured a replay, again lines out at midfield.

Meanwhile goal-scorers Dean Brosnan, Jamie Coughlan and Eoin O'Sullivan again lead the Rebels' attack.

Waterford are already through to the Munster MHC final, with the Deise in their first provincial showpiece since 1996.
