Tardelli: Given should be fit to face Bulgaria

Ireland assistant coach Marco Tardelli says he is hopeful of Shay Given being fit for the World Cup qualifier against Bulgaria next week.

The Manchester City goalkeeper has been struggling with a hip injury and will miss tomorrow's friendly against Nigeria at Craven Cottage.

However, he has been taking part in light training in London and Tardelli says he has a good chance of being fit for the Sofia game.
