'My Name is Earl' cancelled
20/05/2009 - 08:59:32Jason Lee's quirky sitcom 'My Name is Earl' has been cancelled after four years.
Lee's co-star Ethan Suplee confirmed the news to fans via his Twitter.com account.
"Just got the call that My Name Is Earl has been cancelled," he wrote. "They sure did take their time with that decision."
The show’s creator Greg Garcia was in upbeat mood, quipping: “It’s hard to be too upset about being thrown off the Titanic”, referring to US network NBC.
However, star Lee is said to be keen to continue in the role if another network such as Fox or ABC picks up the show.
“There’s a lot of reasons the show would work well on another network, and I think we’d do very well with some promotion,” he said.
