Junior Cert 'to be cut in Budget'

It is being reported this morning that the Junior Certificate may be axed in the forthcoming Budget.

The Sunday Tribune says that the proposal, which would save the Government around €30m a year, has already been discussed at the Cabinet table.

The end-of-year exams would be replaced with a system of continuous assessment, it has reported.
