Man killed in Tipperary road accident

A man in his 20s has been killed in a road crash in Co Tipperary today.

He died after his motorbike collided with a car on the N7 about two kilometres from Roscrea at 3.15pm this afternoon.

The road has been closed while a forensic examination of the scene takes place.

The young man is the fourth person to be killed on the roads this weekend.

A 55-year-old man died after he was hit by a car in Limerick on Friday, a 30-year-old man died when his car crashed into a ditch in Co Offaly yesterday morning and a 27-year-old woman died after she was hit by a car in Co Kildare last night.
