Post mortem to be carried out after woman dies in childbirth
12/01/2009 - 07:19:42A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out today on the body of a woman who died while giving birth at Kerry General Hospital in Tralee yesterday.
The woman's baby remains in a serious condition in hospital this morning.
The HSE says it will be carrying out a full review of the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The woman, whose name has not yet been released, is believed to have been in her mid-thirties and from outside of Kerry.
The HSE has expressed its sympathy to her family.
