Activity in construction sector continuing to fall

Activity in the construction sector is continuing to fall, according to the latest survey by Ulster Bank.

The bank says the number of building projects currently underway is still in decline, as are the amount of new orders being placed.

Employers are continuing to lay off workers and their expectations for future activities remain pessimistic, the bank said.
