ISEQ down in early trading
12/01/2009 - 11:03:59The ISEQ index of Irish shares shed 14.94 points to 2,671.20 by 11.15am this morning in what was a brisk beginning to the trading week.
Among the notable fallers were CRH, down 55c to 19.45; Elan Corp, slipping 28c to 6.08 and FBD Holdings, losing 18c to 8.70.
In the food sector, both Kerry Group and Glanbia were down 10c, to 15.00 and 2.90 respectively.
Financials were however faring better, with AIB up 6c to 2.08, Bank of Ireland cheering 2c to 0.97 and Anglo Irish Bank rising 7c to 0.35. Irish Life & Permanent meanwhile rose 9c to 2.56.
Elsewhere Aer Lingus rose 7c to 1.60 and Ryanair cheered 5c to 3.21, while Tullow Oil shed 5c to 8.40.
