Gallas left out of Arsenal squad
22/11/2008 - 14:14:33William Gallas is not in the squad for Arsenal’s Barclays Premier League match at Manchester City this afternoon, with goalkeeper Manuel Almunia named captain.
Gallas did not travel with the rest of the squad after making critical comments about the team in midweek.
The France defender questioned their fighting sprit and also spoke of squabbling behind the scenes.
It is understood he was omitted from the team as manager Arsene Wenger was dismayed by the player’s comments.
