Possible link between two armed robberies in North
22/11/2008 - 13:03:41Police in the North are investigating two armed robberies overnight, which they believe may have been carried out by the same gang.
The first incident happened at a petrol station on Clifton Street in North Belfast at around 7pm, when two robbers entered the shop, armed with a handgun and stole a sum of cash.
The second robbery happened at a shop on the Antrim Road, when staff were held at gunpoint.
It's understood a struggle broke out and one of the robbers was punched in the face by a customer.
