Man arrested after €500,000 worth of cannabis found
22/11/2008 - 08:36:23Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man following the seizure of over €500,000 worth of drugs.
The cocaine and cannabis was found when a number of flats and houses were searched in Phibsboro and Drumcondra.
A large quantity of ammunition and a silencer were also discovered.
Gardaí also found drug mixing paraphernalia including mixing agents, a hydraulic press and a cash counting machine.
The man, who is in his 30s, is being detained at Mountjoy Garda Station under Section Two of the Drug Trafficking Act.
Gardaí said this was an intelligence led operation and they believe they have dismantled a major drugs mixing and distribution network.
