Jay-Z and Beyonce named richest couple of 2008
Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles have topped a new poll as Hollywood's richest couple - with combined earnings for 2008 of $162m (€129m).
The couple, who wed in April, have amassed a fortune in the year from June 1, 2007 to 2008.
Rapper Jay-Z earned $82m (€65m) from his recent $150m (€119m) 10-year deal with concert promoter Live Nation, while wife Knowles has brought in $80m (€64m) from her various ventures in fashion, film and music.
Their 2008 fortune sets them far apart from Hollywood's other power couples - Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are in second place in the Forbes magazine poll with $85m (€68m), while Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie could only manage fifth place with $34m (€27.1m).
