McAleese meets relatives of IRA bomb victims

President Mary McAleese has met with the relatives of IRA bombing victims on a visit to the UK today.

The Jonathan Ball Foundation was set up following an IRA attack in Warrington in 1993 in which two young boys were killed and 56 people were injured.

President McAleese held a private meeting with the organisation today and was given a tour of the Foundation's centre.

Speaking at the event, she said Ireland and Britain were now at peace and the relationship between the two countries is the best it has ever been.
