ISEQ traders showing caution

05/06/2008 - 11:48:02
The ISEQ-index of Irish shares showed little sign of resurgent optimism this morning as most stocks remained stagnant following yesterday's dismal performance.

The index shuffled forward by 57.10 points to 5977.69 nearing midday.

Traders looked for direction as banking shares show mixed responses to movements on the wider market. Anglo went up 7c to €7.76 while AIB inched ahead by 1c to €12.41. Bank of Ireland fell 1c to 7.59 and IL&P continues to flounder on €10.44.
