Take one strange loner and a blow-up sex doll … and you have a surprisingly wonderful romantic comedy with lots of heart and insight and a palpable feel-good factor.
Gosling plays Lars, the loner, whose brother (Schneider) and sister-in-law (Mortimer) think should find himself a loved interest. And suddenly he does: an exotic nurse who’s coming to stay.
But … she’s a sex doll. Which in the end doesn’t seem to bother anybody.
