Ferguson to miss Rangers' cup clash
18/03/2008 - 14:19:04Barry Ferguson is set to miss Rangers’ Scottish Cup tie tomorrow against Partick Thistle with an ankle injury.
The Ibrox skipper will see a specialist today to assess the extent of the injury and is almost certain to sit out the quarter-final clash.
Nacho Novo and Charlie Adam are both free of suspension, while Steven Naismith is also back in contention after being cup-tied for Sunday’s CIS Insurance Cup final win.
Provisional squad: McGregor, Broadfoot, Cuellar, Papac, Boyd, Buffel, Dailly, Burke, Whittaker, Davis, Gow, Alexander, Thomson, Naismith, Novo, Adam, Fleck, Webster.
