Chelsea reject threat reports
18/03/2008 - 09:52:19Chelsea have today denied reports that a threat to coach Avram Grant had been sent to the club’s training ground.
A statement on the Chelsea website, chelseafc.com, said: “Reports in the media this morning regarding a threat sent to our training ground against Avram Grant are totally incorrect.”
Last month a white powder was sent to Grant along with a death threat but the substance was later found to be harmless.
But Chelsea moved quickly to quell the latest suggestions that Grant had been targeted for more abuse.
