Fears growing for safety of missing Irish teenager
07/01/2008 - 09:21:24Fears are growing for the safety of an Irish teenager who has been missing in southern Spain for the past week.
Amy Fitzpatrick, 15, who is originally from Coolock in Dublin, was last seen leaving a friend's house in the Costa del Sol on New Year's Day.
Her family live just a short distance away, but she never returned home.
A major search has been underway for the past five days using helicopters and sniffer dogs to comb the surrounding countryside.
The Spanish police have confirmed that a bag of clothes found in the area did not belong to the teenager.
