Man charged over knife attack in south Belfast

Police in the North have charged a 31-year-old man with attempted murder following a stabbing in south Belfast in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The 22-year-old victim suffered abdominal injuries during the attack on University Road.

The man charged over the stabbing is due in court later this morning.

A 45-year-old man also remains in police custody in connection with the incident.
