Magern suffers injury blow
28/11/2007 - 11:55:04Ollie Magern could miss the Stan James King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day after sustaining a slight injury.
Nigel Twiston-Davies’ free-going stayer was found to be lame behind when well beaten in the Betfair Chase at Haydock on Saturday.
“We may not see him out for a bit I would have thought, but I don’t know yet,” said the Naunton-based handler.
“He’s still in the King George, but that’s looking sort of doubtful at this stage.”
The nine-year-old made a convincing seasonal reappearance when winning the Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby for the second time in three seasons earlier this month.
