Seven-month-old baby in Meath crash dies
28/11/2007 - 09:11:18A seven-month-old baby boy has died following a road accident on the N2 between Slane and Ashbourne in Co Meath last night.
The accident happened shortly before 6pm, when a van collided with a car that was stopped on the roadside.
The baby boy was rushed to hospital following the crash, but lost his fight for life this morning.
Two other people were also injured and are being treated in Drogheda.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
The tragedy follows the death of two young girls aged six and nine in a car crash in Longford on Monday night.
