McDowell tied for early lead at Volvo Masters

The Ulsterman carded a three-under-par opening round to take the clubhouse lead.
England's Justin Rose is on the same score after six holes of his round.
Elsewhere, Paul McGinley completed his round on two under par, while defending champion Padraig Harrington was three over par after six holes.
