Fire services report busy Halloween night
01/11/2007 - 08:03:56The fire services across the country are recuperating this morning after another busy Halloween last night.
In Dublin alone, the fire brigade and ambulance personnel responded to more than 1,000 calls related to domestic fires and bonfires.
During one call-out, a person in their 20s was found unconscious in a building in the north inner city before being taken to hospital for treatment.
A man in his 20s is also understood to have suffered burn injuries after falling into a bonfire in Walkinstown.
Meanwhile, in Co Louth, a hayfield is still on fire this morning off the N2 between Ardee and Collon, while a firework also set fire to the roof of a house in Carlingford.
