Best expected to return to Ireland in next two days

28/09/2007 - 09:03:17
Simon Best is expected to return to Ireland in the next two days after the health scare that has ended his World Cup campaign.

The Ulster prop was hospitalised on Wednesday evening after suffering a loss of sensation in his right side, as well as a headache and speech difficulties.

Tests have ruled out a stroke or a neurological problem and doctors believe his condition may have been caused by a cardiac issue.

However, an exact diagnosis has not been made.

Meanwhile, England face their most important match so far in the competition when they take on Tonga in Paris this evening.

Anything less than a win will send the defending champions crashing out of the competition, while victory would set up a quarter-final clash with Australia.
