A comedy drama that’s a lot better than you’d think, full of laughs and carried along on a more than passable plotline.
Samberg plays a wannabe stuntman who lines up the jump of his life to raise money for his stricken – and abusive – stepfather. Our hero intends to do the right thing and then sort his stepfather out.
OK, so it’s not a gem of cinema art but the playing is excellent and the cast gives their all … and it’s always good to see Spacek screen no matter what the film is. And it’s a film to enjoy.
