Jordan’s revenge thriller instantly topped the Stateside Box Office, yet it is a strangely ordinary film that offers nothing new to the avenging genre.
Foster plays a radio show host whose fiancé is attacked and killed on the mean streets, as she is herself. She sets out to track down the killers.
There have been many better vigilante plots – here she uses the investigating cop (Howard) to get information on the attackers – thus rendering this one merely another revenge stalking drama, albeit with a solid cast.
Foster is always worth watching but here her character hasn’t been given enough depth to enlist our enthusiasm for her self-appointed task.
