Leremi killed in car accident
04/09/2007 - 10:35:05South Africa international Gift Leremi was killed in a car accident last night, police have confirmed.
The Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, 22, won four caps for Bafana Bafana, the last of which came at the Gold Cup two years ago.
Leremi was driving his BMW along the R556, between Vaal Road and Brackendowns, Alberton when he lost control.
Police spokesperson Jimmy Maboko said: “The car went off the road and overturned a number of times.
“He was then flung out of the vehicle.”
