Jupiter to brighten the night sky
The largest planet in the solar system, Jupiter, will light up the night sky this week.
Astronomy Ireland will be assembling the largest telescopes in the country in locations nationwide on Tuesday night for what it is calling 'Jupiter Watch'.
The celestial event follows the recent shooting star shower which lit up the country's skies.
David Moore from Astronomy Ireland says people should go along to one of the 'Jupiter Watch' meetings to get a clear view of the planet and its moons, along with a detailed explanation of what you are seeing.
All 'Jupiter Watch' events start at 9pm:
Dublin - Phoenix Park, car park at Papal Cross - (01) 8470777
Donegal - Front car park Letterkenny IT - Seamus Byron (087) 2203312
