Lifeboat called to assist damaged yacht off Kerry coast
09/06/2007 - 14:12:26The Valentia Lifeboat has been launched to assist a yacht which sustained storm damage on the Atlantic.
The boat, which was on its way from the West Indies to the UK, is about 70 miles off the Co Kerry coast.
The two crew members sent distress signals from a hand-held radio, which were picked up by an Air Corps Maritime Patrol aircraft.
