Corkman wins city marathon
04/06/2007 - 13:49:46A Cork athlete won today’s city marathon when he crossed the finish line in under two-and-a-half hours.
Bantry native Alan O’Shea, who also won this year’s Ballycotton 10, was first to cross the line just before 11.30am.
There was a carnival atmosphere in the city with around 4,000 people taking part in the first ever marathon here in more than 20 years.
