Single pole catches Kurten
Jessica Kurten narrowly missed the jump-off for the Swiss Life Classic prize at Zurich, Switzerland today when she dropped a single pole in the first round.
Though going clear in the second round on the 10 year-old mare Castle Forbes Libertina, the Irish rider's cumulative total of four faults excluded her from the five-horse jump-off, and she had to settle for seventh place overall. The competition was won by Switzerland's Markus Fuchs, who jumped three clear rounds on Nirmette.
