Port Tunnel opens lanes to all vehicles
28/01/2007 - 10:16:58Dublin Port Tunnel has opened to all vehicles for the first time.
The tunnel has been solely used by heavy goods vehicles since its opening in December.
But from 6am today, buses, vans, cars and motorbikes could use the tunnel. Some vehicles are subject to toll charges,
Trucks and coaches with more than 25 seats can travel toll-free, but cars, motorbikes and light commercial vehicles will have to pay €12 at peak times, with the minimum charge set at €3.
