Terenure College moved up one place to eleventh in the Division One table as they heaped more misery on an out-of-sorts Garryowen.
Now having lost their last four league games, Garryowen are in danger of slipping out of play-off contention.
'Nure were on course for only their second win over the Limerick giants by half-time a penalty try and an Alex Dunlop effort had them 15-6 in front.
Garryowen out-half Alan Kingsley managed to grab a converted try in the second half but a Mark O'Neill drop goal and try from scrum half Mark Mahony saw the Dubliners win out.
