Aer Lingus unions call for National Implementation Body intervention
27/01/2007 - 17:56:39Unions at Aer Lingus have asked the National Implementation Body to intervene in their dispute with management at the national airline over the terms of new contracts.
SIPTU says "absolutely no progress" was made during talks at the Labour Relation Commission yesterday.
Now staff are being balloted on whether to take industrial action in mid-February.
Flights could be disrupted as a result.
Meanwhile in the UK, talks have been going on all day in a bid to avert next week's planned strike at British Airways.
