Drenched Thurles meeting cancelled
18/01/2007 - 10:24:41This afternoon’s meeting at Thurles has been cancelled due to a waterlogged track.
Course officials called off the seven-race card after an unsuccessful 8am inspection.
Irish Turf Club press officer Cliff Noone said: “The 26.2 millimetres of overnight rain did the damage and there was just no way they could race.
“There is a strong possibility they will look to have the meeting rescheduled though – possibly next week.”
