Motorists urged to take care in heavy wind and rain
18/01/2007 - 09:53:45Motorists are being urged to take extra care on the roads today as heavy wind and rain continue to batter all parts of the country.
The AA says fallen trees are blocking the road between Edenderry and Rhode in Co Offaly, as well as the N9 in Kilkenny and the N22 in the Farnanes area of west Cork.
Flooding is also causing problems in many areas, while drivers in Sligo are being asked to take care after overnight snowfall.
