Four in Garda custody after drug seizures worth €600,000
Four people are in Garda custody this morning after a series of drugs seizures in Dublin, Laois and Tipperary.
Two men in their 30s were arrested last night after two kilogrammes of cocaine and 8.5 kilogrammes of cannabis resin were found during searches of two vans in the Ballinteer area of Dublin.
Gardaí say the haul was worth around €200,000.
Meanwhile, a man and woman in their 20s are still being held this morning following two drug seizures in Co Laois and Co Tipperary yesterday.
The pair were detained after MDMA with an estimated street value of €400,000 was seized during two operations.
The first seizure was made when gardaí stopped a car outside Portlaoise and the second during a follow-up search at a house in Clonmel.
MDMA is the main ingredient in ecstasy tablets and is also sold in powdered form.
