A film – optimistically dubbed a comedy – so bereft of wit that whoever considered it good enough to have money spent on it should be starting the New Year sweeping up after the horses.
Simpson plays the ditz who gets a job in a department store, letting it be known that she puts out only for employees of the month … which prompts a rivalry between Cook and Shepard.
It’s the sort of plot that leaves you hoping neither charmless character wins … and it would also help if the store burned down.
Funny it ‘aint … everybody simply deserves the sack.
