Threats made against JFK on Ireland visit

Classified papers released today have shown that there were several threats made against president John F Kennedy during his visit to Ireland in 1963.

The threats lead to increased security during the American President's 3 day trip.

Five months later Kennedy was assassinated in Texas.

The details of security for his Irish visit are contained in State files revealed today.
